O Hotel Edison fica no coração de New York em um edifício histórico e muito bem localizado na Times Square. O hotel fica próximo de lojas, shoppings, teatros, restaurantes, mercadinhos, lanchonetes e muitos outros pontos de interesse. Ao lado do hotel há um mercadinho 24h e a 50 metros da entrada do hotel há uma lanchonete onde você pode, a preços módicos, tomar café da manhã (se não quiser o do hotel) e fazer refeições rápidas (pizzas, etc.). Os funcionários do Hotel Edison são muito gentis e a segurança é eficiente, pois exige a apresentação do cartão de hóspede todas as vezes que alguém se dirige aos elevadores. Esta é uma medida que eu encaro como positiva para a segurança dos hóspedes. Eu, a minha esposa e a nossa filha de 2 anos ficamos em um quarto que ainda não havia sido reformado e tivemos um problema de entupimento do ralo do banheiro, mas o hotel trocou o nosso quarto por um superior sem nos cobrar a diferença. Com certeza, voltaremos a ficar hospedados no Hotel Edison de New York!Se você gostou desta avaliação, clique no "like"!

Ja me hospedei nesse hotel varias vezes e a maioria dos quartos tem um tamanho confortável, só uma vez que fiquei em um quarto um pouco mais apertado. Equipe excelente, sempre disposto a ajudar. A única coisa que acho ruim é a internet! Eles dão um código grátis, mas é horrível, ou a internet não pega, ou fica caindo toda hora, ou quando o celular trava tem que sair e colocar o código de novo.

O hotel é bom, bem localizado, o atendimento supre as necessidades, porém, me parece que as pessoas que trabalham lá são bastante irresponsáveis, porque não dizer até desonestas. Como precisei de duas camas de solteiro precisei pagar um adicional de 280 dólares, trouxe para o Brasil a Nota do hotel. Surpresa minha quando veio no meu cartão a cobrança de 300 dólares e, não bastasse isso, estive hospedada nesse hotel de 12 a 18 de junho e qual não foi meu espanto quando o meu Banco me avisou por SMS de uma compra de mais 40 dólares efetuada no dia 9 de agosto do corrente no mesmo cartão que usei para fazer o depósito exigido no check-in. Claro, contestei junto ao Banco e bloqueei imediatamente o cartão. Entretanto fiz, via e-mail, Contato com o hotel que nunca me respondeu. Enfim, perdi 20 dólares, mas tive o transtorno de ter um cartão bloqueado e a preocupação de avisar quem lá vá se hospedar de alguns cuidados que devem ter com o tal depósito obrigatório ou cobranças indevidas.

O atendimento na recepção é bem ruim, agem como se estivessem nos fazendo algum favor o tempo todo. A equipe de camareiros e camareiras é muito boa, educada e deixam os quartos sempre em ordem. As camas são bem desconfortáveis, fiquei com dor nas costas durante toda a minha estadia. A internet não é das melhores e, a cada três dias, requer nova autenticação. A calefação não funciona de forma apropriada e os remendos com silver tape em torno dos aparelhos de ar condicionado não impedem a entrada do vento e do barulho da times square. No meu sentir, a boa localização é mesmo o único ponto positivo desse hotel, que é muito caro pelo que oferece.

El hotel nos gustó mucho en cuanto a la habitación que es espaciosa con su cuarto de baño, una pequeña sala con tv y clóset para guardar equipaje y la habitación de dos camas tamaño Queen y tv. Ideal para 4 personas. Tiene 2 heaters y 4 ventanas deslizables. Te entregan al hacer check-in dos tarjetas que son las llaves y los vouchers de desayuno. (Te recomiendo ir a Crave) Debes usar las tarjetas de llave para subir hasta tu piso en el elevador y al abrir la puerta de la habitación.Lo que nos molestó un poco fue que los calentadores no querían prender cuando queríamos. Al parecer los controlan ya que prendieron SOLOS después de las 8p.m.los primeros dos días. Ya en la tercera noche NUNCA prendieron los calentadores. Y nosotros NUNCA abrimos ventanas con el temor de que se fueran a atascar y no bajaran... la cosa fue que por la mañana al despertar nos dimos cuenta que la chica que limpia (deducimos que fue ella pues quien más iba a ser) dejó la ventana abierta y no la habíamos visto porque tapaba la cortina y casi nos morimos del frío pues nunca se prendió el calentador o heater. Sólo íbamos a dormir y baño. Debes hacer check-out a las mismas 12 del medio día y si tu vuelo parte por la noche y no sabes donde dejar el equipaje, pagas $1 por equipaje, te dan un ticket y te lo guardan en una cobacha o habitación hasta que llegue la hora de irte que lo vayas a recoger entregando el boleto. Frente al hotel siempre hay varios taxis por si deseas moverte en alguno. Por lo demás el personal es amable y algunos hablan español.😉

Pros-The hotel was beautiful and clean.. The staff was wonderful.. Very close to the theater we were going to and right off of Times Square... The room was a little cozy but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and it had a private bathroom... Cons- The Grab & Go breakfast wasn't good at all... Would I return?... Absolutely!

Lo único bueno es la ubicación y que el agua sale caliente de inmediato, estuve 10 días ningún día logré dormir, primero mucho frío, luego la calefacción se disparaba, lo peor es la acústica del lugar ,que es malísima se escucha todo el ruido de la city que no te permite descansar, en el hotel hicimos reserva para 3 pero solo nos daban 2 desayunos y toallas para dos, creo que de los 10 días creo que uno solo limpiaron el piso, las personas que hablan español en el hotel solo la hacen cuando quieren que generalmente es para pedir propina. Sin contar que las sábanas estaban rotas... Lo bueno es la ubicación puedes llegar a todos lados caminando.

Bien ubicación . Habitaciones muy ruidosas : se escuchan los ruidos de la calefacción como una tiurbina de manera constante.Pedí cambio de habitación y solo conseguí otra en que se escuchaba más lejano el mismo ruido.La primera noche dormíde a ratos,con medicación, después de 20 horas viaje.Pedí una compensación y aún estoy esperando respuesta.Desayuno mediocre para abajo.

Não foram nem um pouco cordiais comigo quando chequei, se vc distribuir gorjeta te atendem melhor. Tudo funciona na base do dinheiro. Quando sai o cara que cuida da bagagem trocou os tickets das malas e quase perderam minha mala. Mesmo eu falando inglês fluente eles se faziam de louco. Preconceito? Não sei, só sei que não volto e não recomendo.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Edison for 6 nights! From first email to hotel to confirm special occasions to the stay itself we had a fantastic stay. The staff were friendly, the breakfast vouchers were a nice touch and the rooms spotless! We also felt safe with the security at the elevators. I was a bit unsure about staying so close to Times Square but the close proximity of the subway was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!

Lugar muy bien ubicado, pero un ruido horrible ya que sus ventanas no están bien selladas, además el frío entraba cómo que estuvieran rotos los vidrios de las ventanas. Por otra parte su desayuno, si lo puedes evitar pagar hazlo, son solamente dos por habitación independiente de que sean más personas,eso lo supimos después de reservar. Incluso nos tocaron sábanas rotas.

Me alojé 11 días y tuve una excelente experiencia. La ubicación es óptima, el personal muy amable y dispuesto, la habitación limpia. Lo recomiendo y volvería sin dudarlo😄😄

Es un hotel antiguo que aunque ha renovado los baños,la cama está impecable, no se ve bien. El sistema de climatizacion es antiguo con un aparato enorme en la habitacion, aue cuando se pone en marcha no se puede soportar el ruido. Ofrece desayuno pero si quieres hacerlo en el restaurante tienes que pagar 5 dolares y elegir entre cafe o zumo. De otra forma si no quieres pagar esd extra tienes que ir a otro sitio y la misma, eliges entre cafe o zumo y entre fruta o bolleria.

I’m not sure what to make of the bad reviews I’m seeing below (maybe from earlier in the pandemic?)—I’ve stayed at the Edison multiples times, and my rooms have always been modern, comfortable and exactly as described.It’s not a luxury hotel, but the staff has always been friendly and helpful, my rooms have always been clean, comfortable, and spacious, the location is perfect for exploring the city (close to the theatre district and subways to everywhere). The rooms are a great value too.Once my room was next to some construction across the street, and I asked to be moved to another room with less noise, and they gave me a room on the other side of the building that was an upgrade from the original room, free of charge.I just wrapped up another great stay.Definitely my go-to spot for visiting the city.

Está en una excelente ubicación, a media cuadra del times square. El hotel es "lindo" y limpio, acorde al precio; pero mi experiencia no fue buena.La mayoría de los empleados son muy maleducados y hostiles. Por ejemplo yo tomo mate y me tenía que levantar a la mañana a trabajar, ninguno de los buffetes me quería dar agua caliente, me trataban mal. Una llegó a decirme no se podían hacer cargo si yo me quemaba... Tampoco tuvimos buenas experiencias con los empleados de recepción ni con los que te entregan el desayuno. La verdad que esto molestó mucho de mi estadía. Los únicos que sí son los que están ni bien entras y te saludan.Ubicación buenísima, cuartos normales (sin heladera) y servicio muy malo. De todos modos, me pasó lo mismo en casi todos los locales y spots de NY. Les molesta el turismo.

I just had one of the best hotel stays I've every had at a hotel. The hotel is so well run and the entire staff was attentive and super friendly. ROMMEL is absolutely amazing and one of the nicest and most helpful people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. He helped guide me to things I needed and made sure my accommodations were just right. The location of the hotel is perfect. Right off of Times Square, but not in the middle of the Chaos. It's also so easy to get to Hells Kitchen in just a few minute walk where you can eat at better restaurants where the local New Yorker's eat. ( BUT you must eat at Friedman's at the hotel itself - they have good light fare food and a great bar ) Lastly. the subway is easy to catch from right there to get to all the amazing parts of Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx and Brooklyn. I can't wait to stay there again. This hotel will now be my first choice when visiting NYC.

En todo momento fuimos muy cuidados y mimados. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y te brindan un gran servicio, además la ubicación es ideal para conocer la ciudad y estar cerca de todo. Super recomendado.

Rooms are mildly sized. I got a king room. If you are planning to cram even two people in, you may have an issue. The staff were great, and I appreciate the coffee maker and complimentary waters. Not all rooms have the coffee maker. My friend, who started in a double queen, did not have one. Their room was also more spacious. The TV took a bit to figure out, but I don't have tv at home. The free breakfast was tasty, yet meager, but I'm a big guy. The location is fantastic.There was black mold in my bathroom stuff dirty on a rag. However, I can't blame the hotel too much because they outsource their laundry and the staff have MANY rooms to clean. In case Hotel Edison sees this and wants to clean better, the room is 833. I think I may consider staying here again, for the location, if nothing else.

Great location, friendly staff, rooms could have been updated a little better. Shower had a partial glass cover that didn’t move so it was always open leaving the floor to get soaked, and a cold breeze to come in because the bathroom door a sliding glass door that’s too heavy to stay shut. We were 3 ladies in the room with 1 queen bed and a sleeper sofa, we hit perfectly fine, room was a good size for a room in Manhattan

The hotel room was really vintage, but the bed is amazingly comfy. Wifi kept disconnecting, i would not recommend the free breakfast from the hotel (Bond45), but the one from Carve was tasty! Some of the staff came over as extremely fake. We had to pay +40$ a night for taxes as a surprise on our arrival. Overall, the hotel have an amazing location for the price which justify the 3/5⭐️

This is an old hotel as you can see from my rating about the room. That said it was clean, very friendly, service was great. Security on the lift area. Some people didn't like it but I felt reassured. The location was great in amongst everything. Finally the food was great.I would stay again. It would be even better if the put new furniture in the rooms though.

Great location, but unfortunately that was the only thing going for this place.On arrival to the hotel, we had to queue at the check in desk for 50 minutes. I had booked 2 x Twin rooms, and when we got to the rooms they were both doubles.Back down to reception to wait another 20minutes to be seen by the receptionist. They didn't have any twin rooms left. So, offered us a free upgrade to the king size beds. Not ideal, but we went for it. Back up the lifts, and one of the new rooms had the window missing, simply covered up by cardboard. The other room had the curtains spread out in a mound on the floor. Back down the lifts, to be reallocated another room. 3rd time lucky! Really not what we wanted when been up for over 24 hours already.Great location, but I won't be staying here again.

Good News too those Adams Family fans waiting for there new movie...the wait is over as this hotel is probably managed by the them.Hygiene One word disgusting....we originally entered the room to the world most awful smell we changed rooms to see that the bathroom was not yet cleanedSafety We changed rooms many times and most rooms...the bathroom door doesn't close properly the safe usually doesn't work and for God knows why the safety fire instructions are removed the only positive thing one could say is that security men checks before you are in the elevator that you are a guestFront desk I know most of you parents readings this have kids who wanted to go to theme park instead of going to the big city. Worry not the front desk line will give you the same experience. Each time you need anything you have to wait at least 10 min and most of the time the answer is like we are prisoners. We asked to check out earlier they said sorry we will charge you but you can change rooms ( we booked free cancellation) we had to spend hours with booking.com just to make sure the night we checked out after one of the worst experience will be refunded. Yes they did to change rooms but if I'm fare most are worse than the one we had it felt like either they are keeping good rooms for special guests or all rooms are extremely bad.Grab and Go Breakfast Food was eatable but usually cold. Any breakfast on the street with 10$ should do a better jobOverall room Simply unless the Adams family did the rating this is no way in hell a 4 star hotel.Bellmen I'm not sure if its a Mafia or something else but you don't have to even believe me. Once you enter you will see the majority carrying there own luggage that's because the bellmen will be extremely rude even after you tip him you will find him telling you that its not enough he wants more. But there was one gentleman who was friendly but I definitely don't remember his name sorryThe only good thing I could say is the housekeeping was friendly and the security checkpoint before the elevator to make sure everyone has a key. The location is in the middle of times Square yes but definitely not worth itIn summary When we finally escaped to check in to a near by hotel I felt like singing along with Ursula form the little mermaid "those poor unfortunate souls" as I saw people checking in. As a person who travels a lot being a gold or platinum member in most chains or website I strongly advice to AVOID AT ALL COST. Loved our stay at the Edison! The location can't be beat for theatre visitors, and the breakfast each day was a welcome bonus. We stayed in two adjoining rooms, which was perfect for our small group. With all the choices of accommodations in the city, this was a lucky find. I will certainly stay here again. Mr. Holder was especially helpful in responding to my requests and making our stay memorable.

We enjoyed our stay, thought the room we had was pretty big for the price.We had an issue with our AC but maintenance resolved the issue, making our room comfortable.Staff is friendly and I appreciate the focus on keeping safe from covid.

Wedged around some higher end chains this is a really great mid ground. Has a retro feel which means room size and views will vary.For the location, friendly helpful staff,and cost it's a good choice. Go and enjoy Times Square

Stayed 5 nights in the suite with terrace. Room was very spacious with separate living room. I didn't have expectations that everything should be new as this is an older, iconic hotel. Staff was very friendly and polite. Place was run very efficiently. Breakfast was basic grab and go and I wasn't crazy about it, but dont know if food would have been better if we were to sit down and eat there. Location was excellent. Couldn't ask for better. Only thing I would say could be better was maybe having a chair or something for the terrace. Overall, I would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The location is great, right next to Times square. The rooms are reasonable size in Manhattan terms, but mine was very old and not like in the pictures they post on booking.com. Employees are rude and you get the feeling that they're doing you a favor when you ask anything. They charge 1$ for storing your luggage until your room is ready. They charge 100$ security deposit for each night (!!), and the best part, they charged me 8$ for *each Amazon package* I sent to the hotel. Apparently, I "agreed" to this when I signed some documents before they brought the package (after a long day when there was a long line waiting for me to finish). I discovered this when saw extra charges on my card. Even if I was reading this carefully, I would discover this charge when all of my packages were already delivered. This is the first time ever that I'm being charged 8$ to store my package for few hours. I know that those aren't significant amounts, but I won't book again with an institution that tricks (yes that's my feeling!) guests this nasty way. Check carefully each service they offer you.

Welcoming staff, decent accommodations, convenient to Times Square, Broadway,3 choices of restaurants on premises.Signature King room on the small side but what do you expect for New York City space near Times Square at an affordable rate. Overall good experience.

Literal steps away from Times Square. The Ethel Barrymore theater is out one for and the Richard Rogers is out the other. It's a quick walk to most of Broadway's theaters. The staff is exemplary. Our room, while obviously older, was incredibly clean. The hotel overall seems to be getting the updates it could use. It has beautiful and charming elements and areas that speak to its rich history. I hope to stay here again and that's the highest praise I can offer to any business!

Large, clean rooms for a reasonable price considering the location. Right off Times Square and extremely close to the theater district. We opted for a suite and it worked great for sleeping 3. Would ha e been 5 stars but the room was advertised with a king bed and mini fridge but the bed was a queen and no mini fridge in sight. Other than those 2 things, no complaints and would otherwise recommend.

Me encantó el lugar, buena limpieza, gran ubicación frente al teatro Barrymore y desayuno incluido. El único inconveniente fue el ruido del camión de la basura de un edificio que está en frente, supongo que las habitaciones que no dan a la calle no tienen ese problema.

Great value for money! The location is perfect for those looking to stay near the Times Square. We had an issue with the room and the staff was willing to help- we got another room which was awesome. Although The hotel is a bit crowded, old fashioned and breakfast is too small, the rooms are equipped, clean and the service is great.

Hotel ao lado da Times Square. O valor é um pouco caro comparado aos benefícios. O serviço de atendimento é médio. O café da manhã é fraco e limitado. Quartos antigos.

O café da manhã é bom e o atendimento no restaurante é excelente. O atendimento na recepção é frio e com poucas explicações sobre o que vai ser cobrado ou não. Achei a taxa para recebimento de encomendas muito cara (US$ 8,00)

É o meu hotel preferido em NYC! Já fiquei umas 4 vezes! Melhor localização e conforto perto de tudo! Infelizmente estou tendo alguns problemas quanto a uma cobrança indevida! Na verdade foi uma confusão da própria recepcionista no check in Ainda estou no aguardo da decolar pra resolver! Fora isso, recomendo...

Hotel velho como tantos outros em NY, porém fiquei num quarto que tinha umidade no banheiro, tinta descascando e nâo tinha gaveteiro. Na noite de sábado ouvi alto e claro o som de uma banda tocando num evento ao lado do hotel. Reclamei e fui informado que nada poderia ser feito. O barulho terminou as 23:30. O ponto positivo é a localização que está colado com o Times Squate. Pela tarifa, já fiquei em melhores hotéis aqui nessa cidade.
