Just went to guest services and they refused to help me. I asked them when yoga classes were and they told me to look at the TV screen. After 5 minutes of waiting for it to go by, I saw it was at 930am but had no location. I asked guest services if they knew or of they could provide me any print out of when these activities were or when and they refused. I asked if I could make a reservation for dinner for the rest of our trip on the first day and they said I was too late and they don't do that anymore. How is that possible? This was the first day I was here. Also how can you say all activities are included when you don't tell people when and where they are. Just blatant rudeness by the staff. The facilities are very run down. The drinks are very watered down. They also said we would get welcome drinks and we were not provided at all. Overall would not come back to this all inclusive. They only give two bottles of water per room per night and if you want more you have to pay for it. You can't order room service. The snack bar is only fries and mediocre pizza. Went for dinner at the buffet and it was all weird Chinese food that wasn't cooked well at all. Update: TV doesn't work either Update 2: public bathroom doors don't lock. Couldn't get a reservation to any of the restaurants here on day 1. Tried calling before we got here and could never get through.

The room called “superior” was like 3star hotel, but very clean. The air conditioner was working perfectly well and silent, bed very comfortable! The canteen serves various food, I never had issue to find something for me, for each meal they serve delicious fresh fruits! The entire facility is big enough to spend each day in a different place. The whole staff is extremely friendly.

Beautiful place for resting and spending time during your leave. The staff is polite and perfectly professional. Everything is clean food is good and even if rains. Which is it because of the location. The temperature is still good. I can only recommend this place. Even for families with kids. There are pools for them to enjoy.

The hotel is really beautiful. The beach is AMAZING! The amenities were pretty good same as entertainment. Customer service at the reception is not the best, Mrs Annette needs training same as Mr. Marvin, her supervisor, a very unpleasant person. Food is pretty bad and if you are vegetarian your choices are almost none, if you are vegan, just FORGET IT, this is not the hotel for you. Alcohol drinks offered in the all inclusive are PATHETIC, they are the lowest quality and the cheapest ones till the point you will be SICK. The AC IS CONTROLLED, yes CONTROLLED by them, meaning you will can’t adjust the temperature…REALLY??? Be prepared to be HOT or COLD because of that. You can hear EVERYTHING while in your room, and I mean it, it will be until the show ends around 1am. You will also hear (and you will be heard) by your neighbors. They will charge for the safe…can you believe it? And they advertised complementary COVID19 test but you have to pay for. Please remove false advertisement from your websites. I was very enthusiastic when traveling to the BEAUTIFUL DOMINICAN REPUBLIC but going to this hotel was a BIG MISTAKE I regret. We were Two (2) women traveling for vacations, we are not Mr and Mrs Cooper, we are NOT a couple and we BOTH are females.

Drinks aren't so good the food was ok nothing amazing. The burgers sucked. But the ambiance was amazing. Beautiful beaches clean pools. My son had a great time. My wife and I enjoyed the festivities as well. We danced the night away. I'll be back Wyndham see you soon

Viva Wyndham Dominicus is one the best resort in the Caribbean. Any one who travels to La Romana I m inviting you to go there. You wont regret your trip. The service is perfect. The staff knows how to treat people. I was treated as a king down there. I can't wait to go back.

Very welcoming at the resort. My husband and I had most of the fun at the beach, pool and the games they played with everyone. The excursions are great too. The young entertainers full of life it is a very Lively place to have lots of fun. The food wasn’t the best. I enjoyed the breakfast the most. They need heaters to keep the buffet food warm. The smoothies are great! the mixed punch was too sweet.

This resort is definitely not upscale. We’ve been here for 4 days now (of 7) ROOMS - the rooms are very run down, and poorly cleaned. For example one of the bed legs was broken so the bed was tilting and our window didn’t close or open properly. I told the front desk twice about these two problems and they were never fixed. The bed skirts are stained and walls and curtains are dirty with dead bugs on them. There is no sound isolation in the front door so you hear everyone in the hallways. Bedding is just a single sheet to sleep under, mirrors and lamps are rusted, there’s no hot water… the room we had was 2 star quality at best. DINNING - food at the buffet is mediocre, you have to constantly ask for any drinks you want, and the service is poor in general. One meal I found a rigid wire in my dish. The inclusive drinks are super watered down and extremely sugary, so bad they are not even worth drinking. EXTERIOR - the plants are well maintained and very beautiful. There are no umbrellas on the beach, just the palm trees so it’s sometimes difficult to find any shade and you have to constantly move your lounge chair to follow it. EXCURSIONS - they are 30% more expensive at the hotel than the normal price just right outside the resort gate. For example we rented a private boat and we’re charged $600 after some negotiating, and when we asked around it was $400 elsewhere. SUMMARY - not the most memorable vacation so far at least not for any good reason, just the bad.

Definitely not a comfortable place to stay, sadly. I have enjoyed all the Viva Resorts I have visited but sadly this one you should skip! First, I called in advance to ask if we are allowed to have guests visit us as I have a few friends and family that lives close by and they said yes, all you have to do is buy a day pass and the can come visit. Sadly that was issue number 1, i was not able to purchase a day pass any of the days. Second, They have restaurants that need reservations, they tell you between 8 and 3 pm they are available. This was never the case in the 4 days i was staying there, they never answer the phone and come and leave at random times not allowing you to actually make a reservation. Third, it's the first all-inclusive where they only provide you with 2 bottles of water a day and no shelf or premium alcohol, only house. You are able to purchase the higher end alcohol but only after 5 pm and some days they didn't even open that. When making a "line" at the bar, which there always was, they tell you to line up in different sides of the bar, so no matter what you are in the wrong. Never been to a bar where there's no designate order area yet you can only order in certain spot of the large bar. Fourth, the security is suffocating. It's not a pleasant experience walking in, instead they question you as to where you went which has never happened to me in any accomodations I have stayed. I'm very saddened this is the experience I had, i tried to speak with them about these but they did not care to listen! The only saving grace was the scuba diving team, which was excellent and I'll review separately. I really hope this place turns it around as they will not have many repeat customers.

Location is super, sunsets here are amazing! The color of the water seems fake! Food is great, the chef Daniele is super nice and desserts are so delicious, fresh and very well-made! Animation and people who work here are fantastic!

We have been to many islands in the Caribbean and this was one of the most beautiful locations we have ever stayed. If you are looking for a place on the beach with calm water, palm trees, soft sand and an i infinity pool this place is it! Was in awe over the views. We stayed in an ocean view bungalow. Small room but was fine for the two of us- wasn’t in the room except to sleep. Had a small fridge to store drinks. Went during pandemic (late March 2021) so lots of chairs available and pools were empty. Only 2 restaurants open so not much to choose from. Food was mediocre at best. Right next to a few restaurants outside the gate so we did eat outside of resort a few times. 10 minute taxi ride to Bayhibe with more restaurant options. Staff wasn’t as hospitable as we are used to on other islands but language was a barrier for us as we only speak English. Did offer activities on property but didn’t partake as they were all done in Spanish. Not sure if it was just because of the pandemic but little communication about when activities and restaurants were open/held. Didn’t feel “hassled” at all but were asked a few times for massages. The price is low enough to allow a little room for outside resort dining and excursions which makes this place a must visit again. Gave 4 stars because of food and staff not as friendly as used to.

The hotel has an exquisite view due to the fact that it is on the coast of the ocean and of course it is in palm trees. Whatever you expect from a hotel, especially a 5-star all-inclusive hotel, you will definitely not feel. This is for sure. Apart from that, it is a pleasant spot for the beach. That's all.

Ruth is the best!!! She works in the beach bar in front of the eating area. I was trying to drink the coffee she made very fast because I had to go and she went the extra mile and bring me a disposable cup so I could take on the go and avoid for me to burn my tongue. I hope management sees this review and give her a raise or a supervisor job. She's the type of employee guest love to have. Kudos to you, Ruth, greatly appreciate it!!!

The beach and outdoor views were beautiful. However the staff there was not hospitable or know any English. The food was just okay nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone. The only people that kept us entertained was the entertainers. And Randy the bartender was amazing. He was the only one wanting to serve us our drinks and was very friendly. The airport was an hour away which no agent told us about otherwise we wouldve booked something closer. Like I said I wouldnt go back here.

The cabins were comfortable, with good air conditioning, clean and spaceous enough. Though at night you can hear the noise of the disco somewhat near, which stopped after some time around 12am. The food was good, pretty appetizing and wide selection, though I was expecting a bit more. They have very good sanitizing precautions. The Beach is gorgeous and the water is very calm, it's good for snorkeling. It's place I'd return if I had the chance to.

Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach is a great compound with lots of space. The garden is great and well kept, pleasant for even longer strolls, even through the attractive bungalow village. (It has aged a bit but preserved its rural atmosphere). Within the compund, from rocks in the West to long sandy beaches towards the East - whatever you like. However the beaches are not too wide and tend to be crowed at certain times. Long beach walks outside are possible towards the East on unmaintained beaches. As to cleanliness and efficiency, well, one needs to accept being in the Caribbean and adjust to the culture of the friendly local employees, and one will have a great time. Taste and variety of foot are acceptable, of drinks good. A few small shops are in the village nearby, a large Western-style supermarket in La Romana.
