“There are 2 JW Marriotts in Seoul. I had many stays in JW Marriott Seoul (where everytime my experiences were full of joy) but it was my first stay in the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square. The Property is located in the central of historic northen part of Seoul. The first welcoming hospitality of Front desk by Ms. Lucy was impressive and thankful even if I could not get Suite upgrade as a Titanium elite benefit and could not even experience the property's popular Swimming Pool and Korean buffet of Tavolo 24 due to the COVID-19 situation. For dinner, I had LA ribs from Tavolo 24, along with Aglio e Olio pasta and Fish&Chips. The dishes, frankly speaking, were very disappointing and even frustrating. Especially for LA ribs, a quarter portion of it was fat. Last week I had same menu in Courtyard Marriott Times Square but I should say the taste of Courtyard was super better than that of JW. The Fish&Chips? Only Potato Chips were good. But thick fried Fish inside were rare and could not eat..(As matter of fact, it was the first time in my Marriott's dining history over hundreds..) For Breakfast, I had scambled egg, sausage, salad & bread served with Coffee and Juice. The quality of breakfast was satisfactory. The room was with nice Outview and also with beautiful Sky View, 2 double, which was impressive. The room condition was good and staffs were kind and attentive. The hardware of executive lounge was also nice, especially I liked the terrace outside and its outview over the famous Dongdaemun. (It seems to be much better if I could try coffee or tea next time.) May be, my unmet expectation and feeling of disappointment was due to COVID-19 situation because many properties and hospitality industry are sufferring serious financial problem and should cut operating costs. So, I will have a chance to stay in this property again some day in next year.”

“We had some after-dinner-drinks there and were really impressed about the bar. They have a good selection of drinks, a very nice seating/view and the staff was super friendly.My girlfriend was coughing and asked for some hot water. The bartender made her a hot water with lemon and honey as he realized what was going one. Excellent!We also had a nice talk with Lexie (another bartender). She was very friendly.We really enjoyed our time there. Will definitely go back for some drinks.”
